Manatee County Schools to continue food programs over summer vacation

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (MSV) – The School District of Manatee County announced Tuesday that its Food and Nutrition Services will continue to feed kids this summer for free.

FREE MEALS FOR KIDS ALL SUMMER LONG

With school almost being over, we wanted to make sure that everyone was aware that we will be rolling right into our summer food service program – the Summer BreakSpot starting Monday, June 1.

FREE MEALS will be available to any kid or teen, 18 or younger at any of the meal sites. All 23 of our drive-thru school sites will remain the same (serving 11-1pm, Mon-Fri), and we are adjusting our mobile feeding sites to 14 total – times and locations below.

Kids can pick up lunch for the day and breakfast for the next day. On Fridays, we will also be handing out meals for the weekend.

Additional locations and times can be found at SummerFoodFlorida.org or by calling 2-1-1 or text FLKIDSMEALS to 211-211.

Please note that locations and times are subject to change. Check back frequently for the updated site list or visit SummerFoodFlordia.org or call 211 for updated information.
